How to improve the efficiency of screening?

The way to improve the screening efficiency is in the list:

  • We should improve the sieve plate opening rate, because of high opening rate is conducive to improve the sieving effect.
  • If conditional word, we can add a fixed screen into the feeding end for coarse mesh.
  • To dry screening,we should strictly control the moisture, when the water is on the high side,then can consider to ingredients sieve.
  • Conditional word,also can consider to adjust the screen Angle, the proper Angle is beneficial to reduce the thickness of the material, thin layer material screening.
  • Conditions permitting, wet screening, this is the most effective way to improve the sieving effect.
  • Decrease the rate of screen batter hole, can consider to choose the cleaning sieve plate, such as the spring rod type screen surface or add prevent blockage device screen below.
  • Changing the material, the material must be along the full screen width, be sure to make full use of the screen surface.
  • For circular vibrating screen, can consider to adjust the weight method to improve the sieving effect.

Improve dry or wet screening efficiency of vibrating screen

Following methods can improve screening efficiency of vibrating screen:

1.For dry screening,we should strictly control the water content,for material with high water content,please consider screening with ingredients.
2.Reduce the of plugged hole,we can consider using the self-cleaning sieve plate,for example,for spring rod type screen mesh surface,we can add a prevent blockage device below the screen.
3.Improve the aperture percentage,high aperture percentage is beneficial to improve the screening effect.

What factors affect vibrating screen purchase

Please consider the following factors when purchase vibrating screen
A.Physical property of the material
Including material particle size, shape, moisture content, bulk density ,property ,etc. When the particle size is fine and mesh size is small, the screen efficiency will be lower, we need to select larger model for same capacity; when the moisture content is big, in general, the screen efficiency will be lower. However,if the mesh size is bigger, the influence of moisture content will be less; when the material with corrosion property, the material contacts parts usually need to be SUS 304 or whole machine is SUS304.
B.Screen surface character and structure
In general, if the material do vertical movement on the screen surface (such as linear vibrating screen,etc), the screen efficiency will be higher and the capacity is larger. If the material do reciprocating movement on the screen surface (such as gyratory screen,etc),the screen efficiency and capacity will be lower.
For certain material, the screen efficiency and capacity rate are determined by the mesh size. The screen efficiency is determined by the screen surface length, the longer screen surface length is, the higher screen efficiency will be; the capacity rate is determined by the screen surface width, the bigger screen surface width is, the higher capacity rate will be. 
C.Production condition
The screen efficiency will be lower when the load on the vibrating screen is big.Uniform feeding material also has a big influence on the screen efficiency. (For this question, PK Machinery designs a distributor above the inlet of vibrating screen to achieve uniform material feeding).

Factors affecting the efficiency of screw conveyor

Main factors influencing the efficiency of screw conveyor:

1. Material viscosity, easy caking. Material viscosity,material is prone to sticking to the blades and conveyoron the inner wall, making large resistance change in thematerial handling process, a direct impact onproductivity.
2. Spiral pipe diameter size. Under the same conditions,of large diameter conveyor transmission efficiency thandiameter small throughput and higher efficiency.
3. Angle of screw conveyor and transmission distance.

4. Material particle size, temperature, moisture,abrasion and corrosion. Specific parameter can refer to:technical parameters of screw conveyor and conveying calculation formula.
5. Screw conveyor speed. Screw conveyor speed relates to the motor of the conveyor's size. Screw conveyor speed has a close relationship with material properties. High speed screw conveyor Assembly is strict, but also better balance.

Basic Type of Scraper and Chain Used for Buried Scraper Conveyor

As the traction and load-bearing components of buried scraper conveyor, scraper chain subassembly is generally welded by different types of scrapers and chains, or one-piece casting.
Subject to the gravity and conveyor trough, the material is transported by the thrust from scraper chain subassembly, as well as the friction and lateral pressure caused in conveying process. Therefore, the appropriate selection of scraper & chain influences the conveying and operating efficiency greatly.

According to different material property, conveyor trough width and capacity, various types of scraper and chain are chosen to meet the actual operation requirements.
1. The basic type of scraper
Scraper can be classified according to their shapes. There are flat scraper (T-type), framework scraper (U-type, V-type, H-type), side-pull scraper (L-type) and solid angle shape scraper, etc.
U-type and V-type scrapers are most commonly used, and suitable for horizontal, inclined and vertical transmission. 
T-type and L-type scrapers apply to horizontal transmission.
H-type scrapers are appropriate for square cross section conveyor.
Other special type of scraper, such as cleaner scraper, which bottom margin and broadside are installed with rubber sheet, neoprene sheet, leather sheet or canvas sheet, is used to remove the residue remained in the conveyor casing. In order to prevent most viscous material bonded in the inner wall of casing, the manufacturer can install a cleaner scraper every 5 ~ 10 chain link. 
2. The basic type of chain
There are three types of chains used for the buried scarper conveyor, bush roller chain, die forging chain and double chain.
Bush roller chain has the features of flexible rotation, low friction in meshing process, low specific pressure and small abrasion. While the chains must be replaced in pairs because of its heavier weight.
The characteristics of die forging chain are simple structure, light weight, high strength, reliable operation and convenient assembling & dismantling. 
The pitch of double chain is big, so it has the advantages including high carrying capacity, reliable operation and convenient assembling & dismantling. But the disadvantages are heavy weight, and can’t be designed according to equal strength.

What Factors that Affect the Screw Conveyor Conveying Efficiency ?

Introduction of Circular Vibrating Screen

What Should We Pay Attention to the Selection of Vibrating Screen Coupling

Vibrating screen coupling is commonly used in mechanical transmission components. It is used to put two shaft coupling together, a component which cannot separate with rotation and transmission torque of two shafts when the vibrating screen is running; only after the machine stop and after joint apart, two shafts can be separated. Coupling is a kind of standard part, when using we can choose coupling according to the requirements of national standards and the using requirements.

Due to the manufacturing and installation error, two shafts of coupling connection may occur deformation after bearing and the influence of temperature change, often cannot guarantee strict centring, however, there is some degree of relative displacement. So choose cross coupling between the reducer and the clutch, oldham coupling is composed of two end surface fluted half coupling and the middle plate of protruding teeth both sides. Because convex teeth can slide in groove, so it can compensate for the relative displacement between the two shafts in installation and operation. This kind material of coupling parts can be available for 45# steel, work surface needs heat treatment to improve its hardness. It is also available for Q275 steel when the requirement is lower, no heat treatment is required. In order to reduce friction and tear, when using we should lubricate from the oil hole in the middle.
Because sliding pair is consist of half coupling and the middle plate, which can't occur relative rotation, therefore, angular velocity of the drive shaft and the driven shaft should be equal. But when there are relative displacement between the two shafts, middle plate will generate a lot of centrifugal force, which will increase the dynamic load and wear. Therefore when we choose coupling, we should pay attention to that working speed shall not be greater than the specified value.
